The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)

The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)

The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)

The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)

The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)

The video was done for a local Chicago band called The Laureates. It was directed, animated, and composited by Sara, shot and edited by Mr. Brian Keller, and illustrated/animated by me. If you are curious: I hand-drew the illustrations one by one on a light box; I then scanned each image, removed it from the background, colored it, and sent the layered file to Sara. Sara then took each layered file and seamlessy (i.e. painstakingly) manipulated them into the real video so that the two interacted without overlap. It was intense and quite insane at times, but I think we (especially Sara) friggin' killed it. (BTW, there were no green screens used in this.)
