Listen up: “Closure” EP by Rift Napalm & Meaty Ogre…

You already know that we're close family with the guys over at Galapagos4, the Chicago-based label that's been dropping some super-original music for over a decade now. One of their mainstay producers is Meaty Ogre, who has been digging through dirty crates, making ridiculous beats, and DJing for as long as I can remember. He's produced a slew of greatness for G4 and other labels during this time, and set his sights on a five-track EP with someone who's not so elusive as his rap career might have you believe. That would be Rift Napalm, who just so happens to be one multi-talented motherfucker. I have known this guy, too, for as long as I can remember. And while he has also been rapping forever - and has rapped on some of my favorite tracks from random tour or exclusive, limited G4 releases (among other projects) - he's usually focused on being a bad-ass photographer. I honestly can't tell you how many times I or others I know have gotten on Rift's case about putting out an actual release. And, well, 2011 is that time. About fucking time, that is. G4 just released Meaty & Rift's new project, titled Closure. It features five new tracks from two very talented folks, available exclusively as a digital release. I want to give a major shout-out to both of these cats, as well as the crew who runs G4, because I can only imagine everything that had to go down before this shit could happen. I'll say it again: It's about fucking time! So then, the EP is out, and you can download it right here for a mere $4.95. You shant be disappointed! Major propers, y'all...
