“What’s Being Built” has returned for another round, starting off the month of September with a venerable classic. When I designed the “Scumbag Nation” T-shirt, it was sort of a half-serious play on what has now become a widely recognized and unbelievably popular motto for our crew and customers the world around. (Props to DJ Intel for coining the Scumbag Nation, and yours truly for the tag line.) The original “Scumbag Nation” T-shirt was re-released in Build Your Own format, and it keeps on bangin’. Check out a few colors that customers created over the past week, and build your own in thousands of colourways for both men and women.

Yes! We noted a while back that the good folks at Rotofugi were moving their shop and gallery space to a new location. Well…that time has come. Rotofugi is having a grand opening of the new space this Friday, 27 August, at 2780 N. Lincoln Ave. in Chicago. (That’s the new location.) Along with the celebration is the opening of the “Playboy Redux” show in which contemporary artists interpret the iconic Playboy Bunny. The show features original work by tons of artists, including Shag, Tim Biskup, Jeremy Fish, Mike Giant, Ken Keirns, Jeremiah Ketner, Frank Kozik, Travis Lampe, Tara McPherson, Jeremy Tinder, and a whole lot more. Also note that Rotofugi will have new Rotofugi x Formula Werks T-shirts in the shop the day of opening. This includes new colors and restocks of all collabo items. See you there!

Time for another segment of “What’s Being Built”! Today we continue showcasing a few colourways of selected items built by customers, so you can see what people are doing, gain some inspiration, and build your own goodies. Sound good? Right.
This round features a few versions of our “Made in Chicago” T-shirt series with Loyal Locals, which you can customize for men, women, and kids in the online store. We grabbed a couple from a few different language versions: English, Spanish, and Italian. It doesn’t really stop there, though, as even more languages (and locations) are now available in the shop.
